I enjoy teaching lessons to students of all ages and ability levels. I believe that a strong basis in fundamentals and technique supports each student's ability to express themself on the instrument. Lessons are customized to meet the needs of the student – whether a beginner looking to have fun and be inspired, a high schooler preparing for All-State or college auditions, or an adult musician balancing full-time work with a love for the oboe, I will work with you to identify and acheive your goals!

High quality, handmade reeds are a prerequisite to study of the oboe. Without a regular supply of professionally made reeds, a student cannot achieve their best (and it sure is a lot more fun to play on a good reed). Included in my lesson pricing is a set number of handmade reeds each month. I will work with you to determine what kind of reed will best support your performance and will customize reeds especially for your needs.
